I remember this day, I was very excited to travel to Sydney for the day to catch up with you and Eric. We arrived at the Sunday meeting a little late (it had already started), so couldn't very well march up to you and make a big scene while the meeting was on, I think after 5-10mins though, you turned your head around and saw us and gave us an excited little wave! xx

Brooke was the first of "older girls" to befriend me. Ever since I was 17 I have admired and loved her! She has a kind and genuine heart.

I think this was the last Lennox Head camp before you went away? I tried to remember the first time I met you and couldn't, I would think it would have been around the same time as the other guys from Bundy?

But I do remember the time you told me that you were going travelling with Jem and I thought that was cool! Until you said that you wouldn't be coming back for a very long time, if I remember rightly I think I got a bit teary! Although I have missed you heaps and heaps, especially the trips you made to the Gold Coast every other weekend and stayed with me and Rox, I am very glad you went, cause you met Eric (good bloke), and now you are having a wittle baby!! Aahhh.... what sweet days they were. When you came to visit us every weekend on the goldy in summer 2001. It was our last great 'era' together before geography took over....

Hahaha, what did we call these glasses? Something therapy? That night we drove up to Labrador to visit Jem and Reid and we wore these glasses and made lots of people (in their cars at the traffic lights) laugh and do double takes on the way up!

Brooke, for the last week and a bit, I've being sitting down and trying to come up with something 'absolutely brilliant' to put on this blog, and although I have thought of tons of amusing/ embarrassing/ heart-warming anecdotes, nothing really accurately conveys what I feel better than this:

1993 was a landmark year in my life – I moved out of home, shifted to a new town, and most importantly of all, met a lovely young red-headed lady who would soon become, and to this day remains, a wonderful friend. (Actually referring to Brooke, just in case there was any confusion with the other, equally as lovely, young red-headed lady from the same town, that I met in the same year, and is also a good friend, and probably going to read this at some point…… moving on…..)

I don’t remember the first time we met but I do remember who organised my 21st, took the time to stay in touch when I moved away, rang me at my wedding from somewhere in Europe, and was (and still is) always there when needed – thanks Brooksta. While it’s a little harder to stay in touch quite as frequently as we used to, I know none of us think about you any less.

Have yourself a fantastic day mate – may it be filled with rainbows, sunshine and lollipops! Love ya heaps!

The first time I met Brooke........was at Adelaide Convention 2000. It was also the first time I met Russell, and I couldn't work out who this red headed girl was that was always with him. Anyway I soon met Brooke and discovered she and Russ where very good friends, nothing more, much to my delight. Thus began my friendship with Russ and Brooke.
